I have taught in Kerman, California for 23 years. It is a migrant farming community with a fantastic blend of demographics. The diversity in needs is a huge challenge, but one I have thrived on my whole career. Every night I plan and create lessons to engage my 26, high percentage English Learners, low economic, high needs kiddos. But, I wouldn't have it any other way. I promised myself that I would never be an "old grumpy teacher...too set in my ways". I vowed to continue to grow and learn with my students. Thus, my desire to implement flexible seating!
