Students with learning disabilities struggle with math computation and memorizing math facts. This makes completing middle school level math problems, such as multi-step equations, nearly impossible without accommodations. The most common accommodation is allowing them to use calculators. These calculators will be used as a supportive tool in the Math classroom and assist them with nearly all Math concepts. Since people have easy access to calculators through their cell phones, students should have easy access to calculators in the classroom (which students are not allowed to have inside most classrooms). Taking the stress out of having numeric computation, students will be able to focus on learning the actual middle school concept.
