Technology in the classroom is so important. Unfortunately books do not have the same appeal to kids as it did when I was in school. Kids minds are now so technologically turned on, that having the use of IPads in my classroom, will allow me to incorporate reading with technology. Books and reading activities are now so accessible by scanning a bar code or QR code. What better way to get kids into reading that by incorporating technology and books. Students will also be able to use these to create their personal portfolio, that allows them to communicate with their parents, and show their work and how they are progressing in school. Eventually I will get the funds I need to allow all of my students to have access to their own during the school year.
