Science Technology Engineering and Math are influential components in both the modern day classroom, and in our daily lives. Students encounter problems on a daily basis that need to resolved through a critical thought process and higher ordered thinking skills. In my science class, students will have the opportunity to explore a problem they see relevant to their daily lives and apply the scientific method to find rationale to explain it. Using STEM components to combat everyday issues will allow students to see relevance in their learning and find connections to the real-world. Students will explore their scientific problems through experimentation, and write a paper that is worthy of competing in the city competition. The colored printer will allow students to print out their science board components, and photographs to show their results with a clear picture. Students will be able to decorate their boards with the letters and the borders in order to create a WINNING worthy project that may gain state-wide recognition.
