Technology is all around us and it's important to teach students how to use it appropriately. With our twelve Chromebooks, we are able to use Lexia (a phonics program), Epic (ebooks), and Zearn (a math program) daily. First graders are not fluent readers and need to hear all instructions in order to be independent. Headphones will help students focus on their learning. Having headphones will allow students working in small groups with teachers to focus on their work. Having said that, cheap headphones break easily and are not made for little ears. Quality headphones will last us a long time and will ensure our students are able to learn without distraction or pain.
