These chairs will facilitate proper posture needed, not only for students and professionals in orchestra, but also to help students maintain proper posture for the health of their spines and necks as they are still growing into adults. Good posture is for life and I need all the help to support healthy bodies. Instruction in playing a string instrument allows me to make connections to both STEM and STEAM concepts allowing them to bridge the gap across the curriculum. These chairs are specifically designed to help the person sitting maintain a straight back and not feel the need to slide to the middle of the chair and slouch the back- which is extremely common for children to do. There is much to be done to help children find success. That is why I became a teacher.
