Amazon Kindles in the classroom will benefit my students in several different ways. First of all, they will provide a library beyond what is available in my classroom. Students start out excited about the books I have, and, with Kindles, I can continue to offer updated reading that meets all students at their individual reading levels. They will also offer a fun rotation for students when I am working with small groups. Beyond reading, the Kindles can also be loaded with apps to engage students in math, social studies and science. They can be loaded with apps our students use through the district. There are also many other reading apps that my students love to learn from. I specifically added Kindles meant for kids so that protective cases would be included to keep our new technology in great working condition for years to come.
