I am planning on building a listening center to use for small group centers in my second grade classroom. This listening center will provide my students with the skills needed to articulate a text in specificity using their own listening skills. Listening to a text uses a different type of thinking than reading does. It helps students think logically and critically to answer open ended questions about a text. This center will be a tremendous help to my classroom and truly aide my students in becoming as successful as they can be. I am very excited to help them succeed in any way possible.
