The students I teach are in need of fewer challenges in their lives. My students need challenging work, but not the challenge of getting the work done. They have a great deal of potential, but not everyone sees what I see in my students. Some people have expressed how concerned they are for me about where I teach. Unfortunately, I do not have the funds needed to obtain everything that they would need to do some of the creative things I would love to do. The school is located in a high poverty area in West Tennessee. There are a great deal of single parents with multiple children in the family. Due to this fact my students do not have access to much technology. Their biggest complaints are that they do not have a working computer or they are not able to get to a library. Even if they could get to a library, it is overcrowded, does not have what they need, or is endanger of being shut down by the city.
