All kindergartners need to learn to identify letters, their sounds, learn to count to 100 and do basic mathematical concepts. Gone are the days when kindergarten was just socialization and playtime. Some children come into kindergarten having gone to preschool; others have not ever been in a classroom before. It is critical that teachers differentiate to meet the diverse needs of each individual student. Small groups are one of the most effective ways to reinforce learning concepts. Having a technology center in the classroom for both reading and math will help to emphasize and reinforce the curriculum for students. It will also help students have so much fun while gaining knowledge.
