My students are 7 and 8 year olds that live in an urban setting in NY. They are learning new things and developing a passion for education through literature, writing, math and art. It is important for me as an educator to seize the moments to peak their curiosity, encourage inquiry and and inspire imagination. They are like sponges, wanting to learn about everything and anything so they can share with each other new things. Inside of our classroom is a new world waiting to open up their minds and their hearts to what wonderful things await them through learning and getting an education.
