I am a STEM Teacher at Pearcy STEM Academy. I teach Pre-k to 6th grade students. Being a STEM Academy our vision for our students is to become a campus facilitating innovation, engagement and creating a student centered community of independent thinkers who are ready for college and career. This project supports our vision in preparing our students for what is considered digital literacy (coding) which they will be using in the future. Even if they are not computer scientist, the skills they acquire through coding such as problem solving and critical thinking are key for all future careers.
