English Language Learners come to our country from several different societies many of which do not have modern technology or student access to technology. It is important for our newcomers to have the exposure to technology that native students are privileged to utilize on a regular basis. Unfortunately, many ESL students lack the resources to obtain or utilize technology at home even after moving to the U.S. It is my desire to help decrease the gap by allowing students to have regular access to Chromebooks as a part of their normal class instruction thus improving their computer literacy and writing skills.
