My students shine with they are given the opportunity to show their thinking in an artistic way. With the requested art supplies, my students will be able to engage in many different art projects that incorporate what they are learning in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.This will allow them to grow and deepen their creative and critical thinking skills inside and outside the classroom. For example, my students will be able to use the watercolor paints and paper to help them visualize and comprehend texts they are independently reading. My students get so excited when they are able to show their learning in nontraditional ways. By integrating and supplementing learning the traditional subjects with creative visual representation, the student's learning experience moves beyond textbooks and pencils.
