Thank you for considering a donation to our project! I teach Kindergarten at an urban school in one of the largest school districts in the nation. Over fifty percent of the students in our school district receive a free or reduced lunch. In a 2016 report published by Education Week, based on school financing among other things, our state ranked dead last. Teachers are given very little financial support for classroom supplies and curriculum. As a result, teachers spend an enormous amount of their own money on items they feel are necessary to engage their young learners. Thank you for your donation to assist me in making my kindergarten class an exciting place to begin building knowledge and a love for education!
