I teach visual arts to 200 middle school students every day. Participating in art classes reaches out to all learners: from those who are traditionally successful to whose who have checked out. Art plays a pivotal role in human development, enhancing the growth of cognitive, emotional, and psychomotor pathways. Studies have shown that just looking at art increases the blood flow in the brain. Art connects learners to their emotions. Creating art takes a lot of supplies. We have been painting, drawing, building sculptures, learning about various artists and how art is created in different cultures. Thank you
