My brilliant students and I share a 20-year-old portable classroom in Northern New England. Although our classroom is full of kind thoughts, activity, and inspiration, the thinly carpeted floor where we spend much of our day, can be a very chilly place. I have been trying to purchase a carpet for years, but the cost of one this size far exceeds my entire yearly budget for supplies. A beautiful and thick carpet like this will provide a cozy place to meet for whole group lessons, mindfulness practice, and read aloud. As we begin to build a new community of learners, I want each student to feel welcome and valued.
