The students will be able to explore how 2-dimensional shapes can be used to create 3-dimensional shapes. Learning Resources Giant Magnetic Pattern blocks makes it easier for the teacher to show how smaller shapes are used to make lager shapes. The students can explore this concept independently by using the PlayMontster Foam magnetic pattern blocks. Educational Insights AlphaMagnets Color-Coded letters, ETA hand2mind Alphabet Awareness Linking Letter Cubes and Play-Doh Shape and Learn letter stampers are a variety of materials that allow the students to experiment with phonics and word building. When students are engaged they are more likely to remember material that is being taught. By providing hands- on experiences in a comfortable, flexible environment the students are able take ownership in the learning process. They become inspired to learn independently. Students also need to be comfortable and free from distraction while learning. The ECR4Kids Surf Portable Lap Desk is one option for students who struggle with staying seated while working.
