Students will be more engaged by reading texts in color that are authentic reading materials. The more they read, the more they will experience, and the more interests they will develop. Reading create life long learners. I know that by using these magazines in my lessons they will fall in love with reading and this will help cultivate a love to learning that will follow them through their academic careers. My students have limited life experiences and need to experience and see the world. These magazines will help they achieve that. The vivid photographs and the Connections they can make to the topics will facilitate that. A pencil sharpener would also be a nice bonus to our class. I have been having to sharpen our pencils by hand and it's too time consuming. Kids love to write with. Nice sharp pencil.
