While we have been learning all about rhythms in class, we are now focused on putting that knowledge into practice using percussion instruments we currently have, such as keyboards, djembe, DJ kits, claves, guiro and bongos, and some new ones we still need. The 3 octave xylophone will allow students to add soprano melody to our percussive projects, the boomwhackers will serve as the medium range percussion base of each song, and the roll-up drum kits can serve both our 8th grade and High School students during their music class.
