The beauty items that I am requesting will be a foundation to start introducing cosmetology to our students. We have some students who struggle to be motivated in school due to a lack of being involved and connected to something that they love. We have a huge Latino/Hispanic population, a lot of whom are interested in going to cosmetology school after high school and cosmetology is a huge and growing industry! I will open this after-school club to all middle school girls and boys. My goal is to expose them to as much cosmetology as I possibly can. This could open opportunities to tour high schools with cosmetology programs and even some cosmetology schools! I previously started a cosmetology club in the former high school that I worked at and I had hairstylists, nail technicians, eyelash stylists, and even cosmetology schools come in and talk to them and it was amazing!
