Listening to books or other texts allows students to read at higher levels than they would independently. A listening & storage center will allow my students to read along to books. It helps expose them to a wider variety of texts and vocabulary. Listening to reading provides students with a model of fluency and is a priceless addition to any diverse classroom. By donating to our project, students will be exposed to listening to reading through the Daily 5 model that gives them choice and teaches them to become independent literacy learners. In our increasingly technologically advanced world, technology in the classroom is vital to opening doors to students. We look forward to integrating this very important literacy tool thanks to your priceless donation.
