THANK YOU so much for visiting my page! My classroom is filled with 23 students of varying abilities. We are on the list of Title One Schools, however, we are not one of the schools that receives funding for it (due to budget constraints). I have typically teach ESOL students, students with Emotional/Behavioral issues, and students with IEPs that are mainstreamed. Our school uses the RTI (Response to Intervention) Model for our struggling students, and I differentiate in my classroom daily with each lesson. I work with whole group when I can, but mostly my teaching is directed in small groups. I target the skills they each need strengthened to help them meet their goals. My students are very "tech savvy" and love hands-on materials. Because my students are only 7 and 8 years old, they are not too independent. Creating learning stations that hold their attention and ones that are purposeful can be a challenge.
