The Nikon A211 binoculars will allow for students to make scientific observations of species within the habitats around our schoolyard, local preserves, and during our trips to the local nature center. Students will work side-by-side local birding experts to better understand how to properly identify birds, the reason why making observations is important, and how the data is used to make informed decisions on a local/state/national/global level. Project Ornithology will introduce students to the world of birding, centered on the need to collect data to provide local/global scientists with much-needed data to better understand how changes in habitats affect birds.
