As our school year begins, our brand new school will be filled with many hopeful students ready to learn and build friendships. The materials that I am requesting are essential items to help make our curriculum come to life through play in an organized environment. Through play-based learning, students can express themselves through dramatic play, developing social-emotional skills, motor skills, and problem-solving skills. In a play-based environment, students learn to listen and cooperate with one another in a low-risk space while practicing problem-solving language. It is so important for our students to have the space and materials that they need to practice these important life skills in a fun and creative way! As the school year approaches, my new school will open its doors for the first time, and my Kindergarten students will walk through the hallways as one of the founding classes. New students and teachers alike will experience a mix of nervousness and excitement, and we will embark together on a journey and adventure that aims to inspire students to be authentic, curious, and empathetic learners and community members. With your support, I can build a beautiful, new home for these little learners. I can't wait to create a community and family with my students!
