I have been teaching high school mathematics since 1987. Although the content hasn't changed much, making math relevant to my students certainly has! Personally I struggled with math in HS and actually dropped out of math my junior year. I know what it's like to be frustrated in math, not to understand it, and to need additional time to "get it!" My goal is to help students think about and discuss math so they understand why it is relevant to them. Math can be interesting and really does relate to the real-world. I want to change the mindset about math. I want to help create life-long learners and have fun while we're at it!
