Thank you very much for visiting my DonorsChoose page. I have been at Centerville for 6 years now. I took over a room that on the surface looked fully stocked with manipulatives, posters, and math resources galore. Then I cleaned out the Apple IIe software, supplies/posters that were for non-math classes, and broken or destroyed supplies. Low and behold I have a classroom with the basics (rulers, some protractors, etc) and not much else. Our district has successfully changed curriculums and textbooks in order to shift to Common Core. This is great because it encourages a more hands on exploration of math wherever it can. Sadly, I have yet to build up the reserves of equipment that teachers with more experience have built up over the years. I would thoroughly appreciate your aid in helping me build up my classroom in order to allow students a more immersive experience.
