Our community is located in inner city Philadelphia. Math class in 8th grade at Olney Elementary consists of approximately 90 students, split up into 3 sections. In our math class we learn about 8th grade mathematics concepts, pre-algebra and begin to dabble in geometry. We have a vibrant classroom that we try very hard to reach all students with all different types of strategies to meet their independent learning styles. Part of our struggle is not having enough resources and materials to complete our hands on projects. My students and myself would greatly appreciate any help you can give to achieve our goal of learning and making the stars the limit to our educational future.
