The inspiration for this project came from my own daughter. We recently found out she has scoliosis and were told to work on her core to build her muscle strength to fight the curvature of her spine. She also struggles with being able to focus. After buying one of these Kore Wobble Stools for her and seeing how much it has helped her build her core strength and focus better, I knew I needed these for my students! Everyone that has sat on my Kore Wobble Stool absolutely loves it! By funding my project, you will be helping my students have fun wobbling while being more engaged in learning! With these Wobble Stools, my students will have more options to choose from in our flexible seating classroom which allows them to choose seats that they can learn best in. While some students will choose to sit on cushions or on the floor, other students will choose to stand. Most students have a difficult time sitting for lengthy periods of time and these wobble stools will be a great option for students who need to wiggle and move. According to the company, these Kore Wobble Stools help to strengthen core muscles and the rocking motion actually calms the brain making it easier for students to focus and pay attention. This will undoubtedly improve their academic achievement. It’s a win, win!
