I work in a low income urban district as a special education teacher. My students possess various learning styles and many of the materials that the school provides is just the pencil and paper type. All of my students have a variety of disabilties in the areas reading and math, the core of learning. Thus far, the traditional textbook has not provided the opportunity for them to use their learning style to help them succeed. The district does not have the funds to provide individual technology for students or teachers to use to enhance their learning.
