I have a great group of 5th graders who have a thirst for knowledge! They are a bright, motivated class of nice young men and women — future adults who will be taking care of our country when they are older! They are good readers but need more exposure to nonfiction texts in our classroom. They like to read but often do not pick up nonfiction texts as a personal choice of reading. I want to give them more exposure to the sciences and current events to motivate this genre of reading so in the future they would choose to read science books for leisure.

About my class

I have a great group of 5th graders who have a thirst for knowledge!
