These games and books will be used with students from kindergarten to fifth grade. Certain board games that teach social skills will be able to be used by both myself and the ESE teacher to teach our students how to communicate their feelings and build friendships with and communicate with their peers. Building the library in the social work office, will allow me to add diversity to reflect our population and the different presenting problems that they are referred to me for. Students will be able to see themselves reflected in the books and relate to what the book characters are going through. Being able to learn through games and seeing themselves in books keeps the attention of kids and makes tough topics easier to work through. By donating to this project, you are ensuring that my students will be provided with more tools to help support them when they are facing a difficult time.
