I create anchor charts with important words and phrases as we go. I keep them on the walls all year long so students can remember and reuse them. The anchor chart paper will be so helpful! It is important to me to empower my students by providing "comprehensible input." This means that I provide reading and listening in the target language that is at a level they can understand based on their prior knowledge and contextualization. I have selected some books about which my students have prior knowledge so that they will be able to operate in the "interpretive" communication mode as we read together.
