My students are over 70% minority, almost 100% free or reduced lunch, with a significant amount who are homeless or highly transitive. These students are energetic, smart and hungry for opportunity. The younger students love to talk and most will eagerly tell you about their lives. They are very genuine, truthful and principled. Students at my school are very tech savvy and pick up quickly on new and interactive ways of learning. My school has a tight knit community of teachers who bring their best game every day to invest in the lives of our students. There is a lot of collaboration that goes on between grade levels and specialist teachers. The vibe of the school is upbeat and up and coming. The administration is passionate about making a difference in the community and believes in the staff and students.
