My students are learning Spanish in an place where the greater area has a majority of Spanish speakers. They are striving to learn the language that will put them in touch with so many experiences that they have not had. While the majority of my students come from a more mainstream part of town, they represent the diversity at our school, ethnically, culturally, and socioeconomically. The students are enthusiastic to learn the language in a manner that moves away from textbooks and moves into realistic applications. They are continuously excited to interact with technology and then see the final result on paper in front of them.
