Students will use these new flexible seating options daily in our classroom. We currently only have desks and chairs in the classroom, as well as a carpet that is used for whole group and small group lessons. Students will often tip their chairs forwards and backwards because they don't want to sit still, which is very dangerous, and it is easy to see the need for more movement in the classroom. We do have recess in the middle of the day, but integrating movement throughout the day while students are learning would be very beneficial. The KORE Wobble chairs and lap desks would allow students to work where they choose and move as they please. This project would not only benefit our typical students, but also the students in my classroom with special needs. Students would not be tied to their desks and I believe the movement while working would make them more productive.
