My school is in an urban area. One of the things that makes my school so special is that it is a Dual Immersion Spanish school. Native speakers and non-Spanish speakers are grouped together to form a learning community that is fully immersed in Spanish. It is an amazing program that gives students the keys to succeed in a multi-lingual society. My scholarly transitional kindergarten students are an active and curious group! They are very hands-on and want to learn about the world around them. They love to tend to our garden, build elaborate block creations and sing!
