This project is for the student athletes of the SPHS girls varsity softball team to purchase a batting cage pitching machine. Being from Brooklyn NY, the weather is very difficult to work around during the months of February, March, and parts of April. Between occasional snowfall, rain, below 50 degree weather and limited fields, parks, and space this would provide us an activity to do indoors when we are not able to go outside or find space. Also saves the students money from renting a batting cage which can cost at least $60 an hour plus train fare.
