With all the transitions and challenges the recent pandemic brought, I currently have both virtual and face to face students. Admittedly, it can be challenging to instill the same sense of community among my virtual students as my face to facers. If provided new classroom laptops and a smart board, I will be able to build that sense of connection and community much more efficiently. Interactive math, science, and social studies lessons will be utilized to captivate my students' attention and make information easier and more enjoyable to remember. If my 5th graders are trained to view their education for the precious privilege and key that it is, they will be destined for success by the time they enter middle and high school. A firm academic foundation will propel them forward to break through any barriers they may face.
