My Project: The core principles guiding PBIS include the understanding that we can and should: effectively teach appropriate behavior to all children, intervene early before unwanted behaviors escalate, use research-based, scientifically validated interventions whenever possible, monitor student progress, and use data to make decisions. The Building Leadership Team, principals, and staff of our school are looking forward to using repetition and recognition to improve school culture. Our job is to improve and integrate practices that affect student outcomes every day. Our building houses half the total student population. Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based framework to improve and integrate all of the data and practices affecting student outcomes every day. PBIS creates schools where all students succeed. Our staff has started recognizing students for following our Spartan Standards: responsible, respectful, kind, and safe. Students are recognized for modeling these standards. Please help us improve our school culture.
