These are the hardest working, most well-mannered band students in the city! The Corona Arts and Sciences Academy (CASA for short) truly is a home away from home. We are brand new, large (soon to be very large) middle school, deep in the heart of New York City.. Leadership, Perseverance and Respect are the pillars on which our school is built and these band students are the living embodiment of them. Even though our school and our band are new, these students have already taken pride and ownership of their band. They work hard during rehearsals and spend all the free time they can during lunch and after school in the band room practicing. They already sound great and I cannot wait for us to explode onto the scene and participate in all the regional competitions and community events we can! Enriched by a vibrant culture, their enthusiasm, heart, and love of life is infectious. They are an absolute joy to teach.
