My students are awesome! We have fun while we learn. But, I also have high expectations for all of them. One thing I am adamant about is developing a love of reading in every student. One way I do this is by giving them time every single school day to read what they want. There is no grade or assessment tied to it--just read! My challenge comes in having an array of books to fit all their interests. Our school library is good, and I have a small classroom library, but both need updated with modern young adult literature. All money raised will be used to purchase newer young adult fiction books from which students can choose. You can search for my list on Amazon under "Mrs. Staudt's Classroom." (Note: there are other items on the Amazon Wish List, but only the books will be purchased with funds raised through this project). Thank you for your support!
