The middle school computer science curriculum is packed with interesting lessons and activities. However, the lab is currently bland and lacks some resources for students to effectively engage in instructional activities. The computer science lab is furnished with a set of laptops; rather than limiting students to their assigned seats, students will have the option of completing their computer-related activities in the various seating areas in the classroom. Teacher working space is being sacrificed to achieve this vision, hence the rolling desk. The extra space will be used for the many hands-on activities, lounge seating, and a place to huddle and have discussions.
