I am very excited about returning to a classroom teaching position after spending the past few years as a math specialist and I am lucky that I will be remaining at the same building with wonderful students that I have already developed relationships with. They are all unique in their own way and have the biggest hearts. I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to be their math teacher. West Hertel Academy is a melting pot for students all over the world. We have many students who are English language learners that are new to the United States and who are refugees from other countries. The majority of students are also from low income house. Our school aims to help these students succeed and become lifelong learners.
