My students are inner city kids who come from a variety of backgrounds. They love to make music, but we don't always have the resources available to be the musicians that we truly could be. Thanks to Donors Choose I've been able to get all the supplies needed to build a successful band and orchestra program for my elementary school. Currently at a new school, my goal is to build up our general music program, supplying my classroom with drums and other instruments so that every student in my building can get the chance to play an instrument, not just the older kids in band and strings.
