Being in a high poverty area, our students often come to school with a lack of supplies and skills necessary to succeed in school. My students are all special education students on the autism spectrum, meaning they have varying disabilities and work at all different levels. My students are all included in the regular education setting, which means they need extra support from me to succeed alongside their peers. I care about each and every one of my students deeply. Regardless of lack of funding or little funding we get to buy things our students need such as: books, assistive technology, supplies, trips; I long to give them the education they deserve.
