Funded Apr 9, 2025Thank you for contributing to this project. I have had so much fun using these resources to help students remember that we "care for ourselves, care for each other, and care for our school community."
We kicked off the school year with team building activities, and the materials from this project were used as incentives and prizes. One of our math teachers asked students to work in groups to conduct a "classroom scavenger hunt," and she used the candy as prizes. I shared the pencils with a science teacher who was very grateful to have them for his students.
I put some of the stickers on a cart in the hallway, thinking a few students might pick up one or two during passing time. I never imagined it would have been such a hit! It wasn't long before I had to refill the stack of stickers after students added them to water bottles, binders, and Chromebooks.
Also on the first day of school, we asked students to write a commitment on a post-it note and turn it in. Those post-its were chosen at random to be read over the announcements, and those students were given a candy prize.
Thank you for your participation in this project.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Marquart
