I teach 25 amazing students in southern California! 20 are Latino whose families come from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Peru. 3 are Pilipino, and 2 are African-Americans. They are highly intelligent and some are potentially gifted. Some of these students are English Language learners with levels 2, 3, and 4 which receive minimal help at home because of the parents' inability to speak English. Our school is an old school that was reopen because of overcrowding in our students' neighboring schools. Most of our families live in very poor conditions therefore our school provides students with free breakfast and lunch. Even in those conditions, my students come eager to learn new concepts everyday.
