The Place Value Activity Kit will allow my co-teacher and I to use colorful plastic place value blocks to visually represent ones, tens, hundreds, and thousands while modeling how to solve equations up to 1000. We will project our work on a document camera during instruction. Our students will be able to follow along with their Base 10 Hands-On Student Pack.
The Base 10 Hands-On Student Pack will provide our students with a hands-on way to learn place value and number concepts. They help students physically represent what they're learning so they can develop a deeper understanding of the meaning of building a 3-digit number, adding within 1000, and subtracting within 1000.
During independent work and homework, students will be able to build 3-digit numbers and work through the steps of adding and subtracting two 3-digit numbers up to 1000. This resource will help build strong math students.
