My students are resilient, the area that they are growing up in has high poverty and they face numerous challenges. They are funny, and they are very inquisitive and smart. They love to learn new vocabulary words through read alouds and experiences. They practice new skills they have learned, finding letters throughout the school building and in each book they read. They practice writing their names daily and are excited to demonstrate the skill. They love to practice counting out loud and are excited when they are able to count to 100 without skipping.
